A new station would boost employment and access to jobs further, with 6,000 new jobs created as part of the planned improvement and regeneration schemes in North Lewisham.

A new station would also mean better access to jobs outside of the area – there would be a 30% increase in the number of jobs within a 30-minute journey from the new station, if it were built.

A new station would improve transport on match days to The Den. On Millwall match days the local roads are congested and an average of 9,000 home and away fans have limited choice of how to get to the stadium.

A new station close to the grounds would mean that Millwall fans travelling to home games would have easy access to The Den on match days.

It would also assist with crowd control on match days ensuring away and home fans are separated effectively for key games.
